Hi, I’m Megan, founder of Nova Health Coaching.
I’ve always been super passionate about food.
At 21, I studied at Leiths School of Food and Wine which led me into kitchen life.
For many years I was senior sous chef of Zucca Bermondsey, where we won ‘Best Italian Restaurant in the UK’ by The National Restaurant Awards!
Whilst working as a chef, I became interested in fitness, so I trained as a Personal Trainer.
In 2019 I enrolled at The College of Naturopathic Medicine in London to study Nutritional Therapy.
With both of these qualifications I could finally bring together everything I loved and turn it into a business supporting people in their own journeys.
Throughout my career I have written and developed recipes for a variety of big food brands and magazines. So if you want to learn about nutrition, I’m your woman!
My experience and qualifications set me apart as a coach who truly cares and is passionate about guiding you toward your health goals.

You may wonder what my own journey with health and fitness has been.
As a kid I enjoyed team sports and began tap and ballet dancing at 4 years old, which I continued until my late teens.
But I was never particularly athletic. I just loved to join in and have fun!
When I was 19, I moved to London, and this is when I really began to gain weight.
I was in a very unhappy relationship. I thought I ate because I loved food, but in fact I begun using it as a coping mechanism.
Food became something to bring me joy when I was desperately unhappy.
Exercise wasn’t part of my life anymore and I found myself in that all too common scenario of joining gyms for year long contracts but never stepping foot in them again after the introductory session.
I felt embarrassed, ashamed and like everyone in the room was looking at and laughing at me!
I’d lost so much of my self and my confidence.
I got to a stage where I was considered clinically obese and with no idea how to fix it!
I ignored the warning signs along the way and suddenly losing that much weight felt like a mountain and I didn’t know where or how to start.
So I did what I do best and I began to learn!
By learning the tools, I could implement the changes.
I now feel the fittest, healthiest, and happiest in my skin and I want to support others to be able to get to that place too.
Everyone is capable of a happy and healthy life!
